คืออะไร​

AWS Storage Gateway เป็น hybrid cloud storage ที่เชื่อม on-premises กับ AWS cloud storage

S3 File Gateway​

  • เข้าถึง S3 ผ่าน NFS/SMB protocol
  • Cache ข้อมูลล่าสุดไว้ที่ on-premises
  • รองรับ S3 Standard, IA, One Zone IA, Intelligent Tiering
  • ใช้ lifecycle policy ย้ายไป Glacier ได้
  • รองรับ Active Directory สำหรับ authentication

Volume Gateway​

  • iSCSI block storage backed by S3 + EBS snapshots
  • Cached Volumes — cache ข้อมูลที่ใช้บ่อยไว้ on-premises, ข้อมูลหลักอยู่ S3
  • Stored Volumes — ข้อมูลหลักอยู่ on-premises, backup ไปยัง S3 เป็น EBS snapshots

Tape Gateway​

  • Virtual Tape Library (VTL) backed by S3 และ Glacier
  • ใช้ iSCSI interface กับ backup software ที่มีอยู่ (Veeam, Backup Exec, NetBackup)
  • ย้ายจาก physical tape เป็น cloud-based tape ได้
